Google recently announced that it has launched a six-month-long professional certification program called “Google Career Certificates”. The certification program is somewhat equivalent to a four-year degree in six months, Google shared

The program will teach applicants how to perform in-demand jobs. It is a welcoming step as it will help candidates understand the foundational skills and help them find jobs
The programs being offered in Google Career Certificates include:
- Data Analyst
- Project Manager
- UX Designer
Kent Walker, Google’s SVP of Global Affairs said “In our own hiring, we will now treat these new career certificates as the equivalent of a four-year degree for related roles”. He also claims that if the job applicant has one of Google’s career certificate, no college degree will be required.
